Burrowing Badger Wild Traits

This template has access to the following wild traits:

  • Keen senses (smell). The creature has advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks that rely on smell.

  • Large. (counts as 2 wild traits). The creature’s size is large and as a result the creature gains +2 bonus to its armour class and a 1d4 damage bonus to its melee damage rolls. The large trait replaces the template’s physical ability scores with: Strength 17 (+3), Dex 12 (+1), Con 15 (+2). The creature’s maximum hit points also increase by 1 for each of your druid levels.

  • Multiattack: Brutal Claws. (counts as 2 wild traits). When the creature takes the attack action, it can use a bonus action to make an attack with brutal claws:

    Brutal Claws. Melee attack, reach 5 ft., 2d4 slashing damage. If this attack is made with advantage, the target takes an additional 1d4 damage.

  • Natural Protection. The creature’s armour class becomes 16 instead of the template’s normal armour class and it does not add Dexterity to its armour class.

  • Quills. When the creature is hit by a melee attack, it can use a reaction to deal 2d4 piercing damage to the attacker.

  • Skilled Tracker. You gain proficiency in Perception and Survival.

  • Special Attack: Ferocious Bite. When the creature takes an attack action, it can replace one of its attacks with a special attack, a ferocious bite:

    Ferocious Bite. Melee attack, reach 5 ft., 1d6 piercing damage. If the target is grappled this attack is made with advantage. Also, if this attack is made with advantage it deals an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit.

  • Special Attack: Overpowering Grip. When the creature takes an attack action, it can replace one of its attacks with a special attack, an overpowering grip:

    Overpowering Grip. Melee attack, reach 5 ft., 1d8 piercing damage. On a hit, the target is also grappled if it is the same size as this creature or smaller. The target must also succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

  • Sprinter. The creature can take the dash action as a bonus action.

  • Territorial. Creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they move 5 feet or more while within your reach.

  • Tunneller. When the creature burrows, it can leave a tunnel in its wake where a creature of its size can squeeze through and creatures smaller than it can move through unhindered. The creature moves at half speed when it does so.

Special

Tremorsense. As a Bonus Action, this creature can grant itself tremorsense with a range of 10 feet until the beginning of its next turn. The creature must be on a surface or touching a surface to use this tremorsense.

Actions

Piercing Bite. Melee attack, reach 5 ft., 1d6 piercing damage. If the creature has advantage on an attack with the piercing bite, it can re-roll one of the attack’s dice once. The creature must use the new roll.
