Bardic Tradition

Actor

A theatrical performer who embodies various characters and brings scripts to life on stage, using drama, comedy, and tragedy to engage and entertain.

Skilled Actor

You gain proficiency in one of the following skills: Deception, Insight, or Performance

Dramatic Persona

You know the disguise self spell and you can cast it as a bonus action without expending a spell slot. When you cast this spell, you can also expend a bardic performance die. If you do so, the spell requires concentration and for the duration, when you make a Charisma (deception) or Charisma (performance) check, you can roll your bardic performance die and add the number rolled as a bonus to your ability check.

Captivating Performance

Beginning at 10th level, you can expend a bardic performance dice as an action to perform a captivating monologue or scene. Choose a number of creatures up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one) that can see and hear you. Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you. When a creature charmed by this ability makes an ability check or an attack roll, you can roll your bardic performance die and subtract the number rolled from the roll.

As an action on subsequent turns, you can maintain your captivating performance for up to 1 minute or until you stop concentrating (as if you were concentrating on a spell).

When a target takes damage or sees one of its allies being attacked, it can use its reaction to make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the effect ends for that target.

Dramatic End

Beginning at 14th level, you know how to generate dramatic momentum from dire situations.

When one of your allies is reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend one of your bardic performance dice as a reaction. When you do so, the target is reduced to 1 hit point instead and gain the effect of a feign death spell. When you use this ability and at the beginning of each of its turns, the target regains hit points equal to a roll of two of your bardic performance dice + your Charisma modifier.

If the target regains hit points from another effect or if the target decides so on its turn (no action required), the spell ends early. You can use this ability once between long rests.
