Size. Small (about 3 feet tall); you can move through the space of any other creature and creatures larger than you give you cover when you share a space with them.

Lifespan. 150 years on average

 

Halfling Ancestry Traits

  • Fearless. Once between long rests when you fail a saving throw to avoid or end the frightened condition on yourself, you can choose to succeed instead.

  • Halfling Luck. When you roll a 1 on the d20 of a d20 Test, you can reroll the die, and you must use the new roll.

 

Halfling Heritage features

Choose one heritage feature:

  • Lightfoot. As a lightfoot halfling, you gain the following benefits:

    • Easy to miss. When you roll initiative, you can immediately take the hide action if you are adjacent to at least one creature that is larger than you. On a success, you are hidden from all other creatures until the end of your first turn in combat regardless of concealment.

    • Naturally stealthy. You have proficiency in stealth.

  • Ghostwise. As a ghostwise halfling, you gain the following benefits:

    • Telepathic Speech. You know the limited telepathy cantrip and can cast it without components.

    • Beast Handler. You know the animal friendship spell and can cast it once between long rests without expending a spell slot.

    • Wild Resilience. At the beginning of your turn, you can grant yourself a number of temporary hit points equal to twice your proficiency bonus. You can use this feature once between short or long rests.

  • Stoutheart. As a stoutheart halfling, you gain the following benefits:

    • Stout Resilience. Once between long rests when you fail a saving throw to avoid or end the dazed, diseased, fatigued, or poisoned condition on yourself, you can choose to succeed instead.

    • Low-light vision. You can see in dim light is if it was bright light.
