Martial Archetype

Grunt

Grunts are fighters that get the work done. They usually do not bother with ideas such as honour or courage. These types of fighters often come from humble backgrounds or the lowest military ranks. They strive to defeat their enemies through any means necessary and are not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Competent Combatant

As a grunt, you get the work done regardless of the tools at hand or any adversities.

When you have disadvantage on an attack, you can choose to ignore any sources of disadvantage until the end of the current turn. You can use this ability three times between long rests.

You are also proficient with all weapons, items, and improvised weapons that require you to make an attack roll.

Stubborn Comeback

When you use your second wind feature, you also gain resistance to all damage until the beginning of your next turn.

Combat Grit

Beginning at 10th level, you gain 5 temporary hit points at the beginning of each of your turns unless you already have more temporary hit points.

Also, whenever you use your second wind feature, you can push creatures up to 5 feet away from you when you hit them with an attack until the end of your turn. Creatures that are more than one size larger than you are not pushed (e.g. if you are medium, you can push a large creature but not a huge creature with this feature).

Durable Combatant

Beginning at 15th level, you can gain 10 temporary hit points at the beginning of your turn instead of 5.
