Bardic College
College of Sorrow
Bard of the College of Sorrow channels the weight of melancholy and lost memories, weaving a profound sadness. Their performance and presence evoke nostalgia and despair, leaving audiences either moved or subdued.
Wistful Echoes
When you join the college of sorrow at 3rd level, your bardic performance carries wistful echoes.
When a creature under the effect of your bardic performance uses your bardic performance die to change the outcome of an attack roll into a success, the creature hit by that attack also gains disadvantage on its next attack roll before the end of its next turn.
Hurting Anger
Also at 3rd level, you can expend a bardic performance die to target a creature that can see and hear you within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or immediately use its reaction to make an attack against another creature of your choice within 5 feet of it. On a hit, you can roll your bardic performance die and add the result as a bonus to the attack’s damage roll.
Sorrow’s Bargain
Beginning at 6th level, whenever a creature under the effect of your bardic performance uses its bardic performance die to change the outcome of an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, the target can choose to take psychic damage equal to the twice number rolled on the dice. When a creature takes this damage, it can also retain the bardic performance die allowing the target to use the die again on another roll.
Overcoming Grief
At 18th level, you learn the channel healing spell and you can cast this spell once between short or long rests without expending a spell slot.
In addition, whenever you cast a spell that restores hit points to a creature, that creature can immediately repeat a saving throw against one effect that cause the creature to be charmed, confused, frightened, or stunned ending the effect on a successful save.
