Spell Description

You shape a giant wave that crashes down. A large wave forms in a body of water you are aware of within range. If the body of water is large enough, the wave can be up to 60 feet long, 10 feet wide and 10 feet high. The wave comes crashing down on one side of it affecting all creatures and objects within 10 feet of the wave on a side you chose when you cast this spell.

Each creature in the wave's area as well as the area it crashes down into must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage, is moved up to 15 feet directly away from the wave, and is knocked prone. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn't knocked prone. The water then spreads out across the ground in all directions, extinguishing unprotected flames in its area and within 30 feet of it, and then it vanishes.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 and all dimensions of the tidal wave increases by 5 feet (the length, width, height and area the wave crashes down into) for each slot level above 3rd.
