Spell Description

You cast chaotic energy at one creature or object within range. Make a ranged attack roll against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 damage. When you roll damage for the spell, you can roll an additional d4 for each dice that rolled a 4 on the initial damage roll adding the extra damage to the damage total.

You choose the damage type each time you cast this spell: acid, cold, fire, or lightning.

On a critical hit, you can have this spell deal another type of damage instead: force, necrotic, radiant, or thunder.

Cantrip Scaling. This spell's damage increases by 2d4 when you reach 5th level (4d4), 11th level (6d4), and 17th level (8d4).
