When you cast this spell, you sense the presence of the closest portal within range. A portal would be any ongoing or permanent spell or effect that would allow a creature or objects to travel between planes (such as the gate spell) or teleports (such as a teleportation circle spell). For the duration, you are also alerted to the general direction of any creature or object that teleports within range.

At Higher Level. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the spell’s range increases to 10 miles. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the spell also lasts for 8 hours.
