Spell Description

With a howl you rouse canine spirits to your aid. When you cast this spell, you summon three pack hounds or one pack leader (see templates below).

In addition, the summoned creatures gain one of the following special abilities when you cast this spell:

  • Blink Step. Once on each of its turns, this creature can teleport up to 30 feet. Also, this creature is a fey creature instead of a beast.

  • Pack Tactics. Once per turn, this creature has advantage on the a melee attack it makes against another creature when at least one of its allies is within 5 feet of that creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

  • Rampage. Once on each of its turns, when this creature reduces another creature to 0 hit points, this creature can move up to half its speed and make another attack.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th or higher, the creatures can make an additional attacks each turn for each three slot levels above 3rd.

Actions

Pinning Bite. Melee Attack, Melee attack, reach 5 ft., 2d6 piercing damage. On a hit, another creature within 5 feet of the target can immediately use a reaction to make an attack against the target as a part of this attack. On a cititcal hit, this attack also knocks the target prone and the target is grappled. While grappling a target, this creature cannot attack another creature with its pinning bite.
