Spell Description

You ward yourself or another creature you can see within range in protective magic.

The target gains a ward that has 5 hit points. When the target takes damage, the ward takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the ward to 0 hit points, the warded creature takes any remaining damage. The ward disappears after it takes any damage or at the beginning of your next turn.

Cantrip Scaling. The ward’s hit points increases by 5 when you reach 5th level (10), 11th level (15), and 17th level (20).
